Kaas ...blooms between september and october is maharashtras valley of flowers ... recognized by WWF and is a world heritage site ...efforts are done to save kaas against global warming , illegal construction and plastic ...this season dont forget to visit kaas and preserve ...just cant wait for it ...hope will have macro lens before it blooms this year

One fine Saturday evening when I was busy searching restaurants for dinning with my buddies , I received a call from zeenath , our treklead from offbeatsahyadri  , asking us to join for a pilot trek in the mahabaleshwar region .. I agreed instantly. I was to join zeenath , priti (another trek lead from offbeats) and the group in panvel as ascend was from konkan region and descend in mahabaleshwar …sometimes journey from pune to Mumbai is more tiring then the trek itself ,but joining pilot trek with zeenath and priti was far more tempting …zeenath and priti have been trekking since last 4 years every weekend and sometimes even for weeks continuously …with experience of more than 350 treks , if there is anyone you would want on a tough trek with you its these two amazing trekkers ( we don’t recognize zeenath and priti as girls J ) So cought late night bus from pune at about 12 reached panvel by 3 ..zeenath  and vishal joined in from lonavla, priti had bought a vehicle . reache

                                         Siddhagad : Thrilling , Mesmerizing and Refreshing  The monsoon has already arrived ..first the laddakh trip and then temporary relocation to mumbai kept us away from trekking .  But when monsoon reached its peak it is almost impossible to resist the temptation of treeking ...so one fine day i screwed up my project committments and decided to join my friends for siddhagad trek. Siddhagad complets the famous troica in the Murbad region along with Gorakhgad and Macchindragad . Gorakhgad is first to greet you on reaching the base village Narivali , just 20 kms from Murbad (50 kms from kalyan) . ST buses operate with a good frequency from kalyan to murbad and then till gorakhgad and it takes less than 2 hrs to reach narivali from kalyan. It wasnt raining much in mumbai or pune that day , we even fancied going back to lonavla or lohgad as the region was getting heavy rainfall , rainfall on the way to narivalli did help us change our opini
